Arrival Time
Please 
arrive 15 minutes prior to your service. This will allow you time to unwind and prepare for your service. New clients are asked to complete an analysis form prior to receiving a massage at Essence of Life.  To assure that our staff stays on schedule and provide the utmost service for our clients, it is imperative for clients to arrive on time. We cannot guarantee services to clients who arrive 15 minutes or more later than their scheduled appointment time.  

Turn off cell phones and pagers.
The is meant to be an escape from hectic everyday life. Please turn off cell phones and pagers so both you and other patrons can fully enjoy the peace and quiet the spa offers. 


Leave the kids at home
The Spa is a place where parents come to relax. Please, make babysitting arrangements in advance and come enjoy the Spa without the little ones.

Wear what makes you feel comfortable.
Many spa visitors ask if they should go partially clothed or totally nude, especially when they are having a massage. The answer is simple. Wear whatever feels comfortable. It's all up to you.

Cancellation, Reschedule and "No Show" Policy

Minimum 24-hr notice on all massage services. $25 fee is required for less than minimum cancellation notice or missed appointments. Changes in date or time less than 24 hour notice, are subject to an increase in fee by $15. Gift certificates are subject to the same cancellation policy and therefore can become void.

Cancellations must be made by speaking directly to the Massage Therapist. 

Service Contraindications

Massage is inadvisable for some conditions. It is important for you to inform your massage therapist of any medical conditions, injuries or allergies you may have. In some cases, your massage therapist may ask to contact your physician to ensure that massage therapy is suitable.  You may download and fill out the client information and consultation form and bring this with you to your massage appointment, or you may complete one when you arrive.


Gratuities/Payment
Gratuities for services are greatly appreciated and can be either given directly to the staff member, or extended at the front desk. Standard practice for excellent service ranges from a 15-20% gratuity.

Prepayment is required for our services. You may secure your reservation with credit card, cash or gift certificate number upon scheduling your appointment. We gladly accept cash, Debit Cards, Visa, and MasterCard.  Checks are subject to a $35 insufficient funds fee along with any additional fees incurred in recovery. Fees for services are subject to change without notice.
